Knee Pain

Painful knees may be an indication of aging. It is common to have painful knees. It is a common problem that we hear all the time. In our physical therapy clinic, knee pain is a common problem. All of us want to learn the truth about knee pain.

“Why Is This Happening To Me?”

Many people believe that knee pain will “ease off” eventually and disappear without having to do anything. Many believe that knee pain will ultimately disappear. However, six months later, your knee pain is still there, sometimes worse than it was when you first experienced it.

Does That Sound Like You?

Knee pain is what we see at our physical therapy clinic all the time. Patients visit their doctors and are instructed to take painkillers, rest, and return in six weeks if things have not improved. Six weeks later, they returned to the same doctor because the patient’s condition had not improved. The doctor prescribes more potent painkillers and may recommend knee support.

Has That Ever Happened To You?

You may need clarification as different people have given you conflicting information. For example, you may need to take a break from walking, which can cause knee pain. You may have been told to do this exercise to make it better. It can be challenging to know what to do to stop knee pain from worsening due to contradicting information. This confusion can cause people to procrastinate and delay treating their knee pain. Many people accept knee pain as a regular part of their lives.

If You’re Currently Living With Knee Pain, Here’s 7 More Reasons Why It Could Be Lasting Longer Than It Should:

1. It seemed like it would disappear on its own. It didn’t

2. The Doctor told you to rest and to take painkillers. But the pills didn’t help. They only masked the pain and stopped you from moving again as soon as it subsided.

3. Your friend or family member told you that everyone gets knee pain with age, so you just accepted it.

4. In the past, you sought assistance from other healthcare professionals or a physiotherapist, but nothing they did or said seemed to help.

5. Have you tried to use knee supports, but they have not helped the pain?

6. Although you thought it would be wise to rest, you still feel the pain in your knees. You can rest with casino ice, that assures an untroubled gaming escapade, where a distinct thematic approach and an impressive game repertoire promise to enrich your experience.

7. Some exercises you found on ‘Youtube’ felt painful and did not help.

We would love to help if any of these happened to you. Call our Scottsdale physical therapists to schedule a consultation to learn more about what works.

“What Can I Do To Get Rid Of My Knee Pain Quickly?”

Here are four things you can do.

1. First, you must decide whether or not to seek treatment. Many wait for the pain to disappear over weeks, hoping it will. But then, three months later, they still have to endure the pain. Or worsen the swelling.

2. Next, make sure you do the right exercises. One way to ease knee pain is to do the correct sequence of progressive movements. A physiotherapist can help reduce pain and help you move again quickly – so that you don’t have to worry about the problem returning.

3. Avoid sitting in awkward positions. If you are prone to bending and sitting, it puts your knees into strange, uncomfortable situations. If you have yet to train your knees within this range of motion, your knees aren’t ready for these positions on a day-to-day basis. To get your body and mind in good shape, it would be a great idea to receive hands-on treatment and strengthening exercises.

4. It’s true, Physical Therapy can help with knee pain. It’s a common problem with athletes and active adults in Scottsdale Physical Therapy & Performance. If you have knee pain hindering your work, your ability to keep busy, or your independence, Physical Therapy can help you get back the life you want.

... get me back to playing soccer after just 4 weeks of treatment!

“I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Sinda and his practice. I had never done physical therapy before, but I knew my knee had some stability issues and a friend referred me to Dr. Sinda. Turns out I have a torn MCL, and Dr. Sinda was able to help the ligament heal quickly and get me back to playing soccer after just 4 weeks of treatment! The fact that he gave me a full hour of treatment each session made me feel confident about the progression I felt in my knee every week.”
